What to do with old oil?
I did my first ever oil change today!
Sure I've installed SC's, bled brakes, replaced clutches but I don't think I've ever done a simple oil change before.
I now have two buckets, one full of engine oil and the other full of Iggy's and my transmission oil.
Question is, what do i do with it? I'm aware I can't just pour it down the drain. Is there somewhere I can take it or some other environmentally friendly disposal method?

My GF's dad says to dig a hole and bury it. I mean, it came from the ground...
Ok, so mine didn't (Mobil 1) and I don't live on 5 acres. I'm pretty sure Mosman council wouldn't approve.

Whack it in the trading post as a freebie; Mobil 1 engine oil only used 5000km, be gone in no time
You can take it to your local tip, but I am pretty sure this costs you. Better still if you know a mechanic locally just ask him if you can dump in to his used oil repository (no idea what it's called).

I normally pop the old oil back in the bottles the new oil came from, put the lids back on, and put them in the bin. (I always have one or two spare empty oil bottles. Always have...not sure why)
Not sure if this is what we're "supposed" to do though.
