Haven't posted for a while, been busy with study.

Since Race Brakes in North Melbourne replaced the clutch I've noticed a whining from the rear end at constant road speed with the clutch engaged. It disappears when the throttle is modulated even slightly, but it is intrusive and quite loud at about 70-80 kph.

It sounded to me like the diff so I had Race Brakes and John Blair Honda test drive it and they both agree.

My second hand warranty covers me for $1000. The diff ex-Japan is $6000 (yikes).

Anyone had experience with this?

I only have experience of whinging poms not whining diffs, sorry.

I turned down a diff on ebay recently for $450. Forget the $6000 price tag.

I've got a standard diff (Crown & Pinion) sitting in a box in my garage. Gimme a call if you want it.
