So is this just a one-season deal? Does he still have a red car in his future?

Alonso in a Ferrari? For some reason I just can't see that...

I hope BMW Sauber continues to improve...

I think that Alonso felt that Kovalainen would be too much competition for him, and he did not want to have stiff competition from the number 2 driver, especially after the experience he had at McLaren. I have no basis for knowing this, and it is purely rank speculation on my part. But I think that as the season progessed Kovalainen did remarkably well for Renault, given the limitations of the car and the team's difficulty in adapting the the Bridgestone tires.
You may be right...

Just read the article and what can I say.......that's a attitude of a loser not a champion.A true champion would take it as a challenge and push himself further, not get rid of someone cause he poses a threat to your spotlight.

Not the first time this happened.

Prost has done it before when he came back to Williams in 93.

Then the 7 time WDC the CHIN is the biggest loser in F1 history, as he had a stipulation in his contract that he could pick his teammate, a definate lessor driver. That is why he and Todt refused to let the President of Ferrari sign Mika Hakkinen in 2000 and why the chin retired once he knew Kimi was joining Ferrari.

This is publication FACT

looks like Heiki is in the final two for a seat at McLaren, but due to funds, they may stick it out with de la Rosa as he's a cheaper commodity..
