Open-Wheel Unification Announced
Wow, that's good news!
I remember the good ol' days of the mid to late '90s. A great racing day for me was to get up for 6:00 to watch the F1 race live, then crash back into bed, then watch an Indycar race in the afternoon.
Nowadays I tape the F1 races coz I don't like getting up so early, but maybe now I'll watch Indycars/Champcars again.

Oh poo....Legge has just been confirmed to drive an '06 spec A4 in the DTM next year.
Autosport is saying that Kalkhoven and George are going to meet today, hopefully iron out the details. The Motegi and Long Beach races may just run on the same date, with the ChampCar teams running in Long Beach, and the IRL teams at Motegi - and each scoring IRL points. Weird.
Hopefully the situation will be sorted out by the end of the week!

Another item from the "Where Are They Now?" file....
Two series on their last legs and completely irrelevant to either motorsports or the American public agree to consolidate and perhaps survive a few more years.

On the plus side, there has always been a philosophical reason I would never attend an F-1 in 'Tony's House" but now that the split is over, I can get US Grand Prix tickets and head to Indy for F-1!

Oh yeah, I forgot, Tony lost the US GP. Hmmmm I wonder this this is the real reason he's decided to end the war?
