Attending USGP 2013
This will be my first time to Austin and I'm looking for any helpful suggestions to make the most of my trip. I have a general admission ticket and will be staying with family in Cedar Park, TX. I've been to 2 F1 races before (Indy and Spa) so i have an idea of what to expect - just looking for tips specific to austin. Some specific questions:
1) Parking - I heard it was a bit crazy with traffic last year. Best way to get to the track? (shuttle, bike, park super early)
2) Lawn chair - worth bringing?
3) Is there commentary over FM radio? I rented a "Kangaroo" tv in the past and it was great but I don't think they have an F1 contract anymore.
4) Will cell phone data be overcrowded? I paid the $20 (or whatever it was) for the F1 app and would like to use it.
5) Any recommended spots for General Admission?
Thanks!
Also, I have one General Admission ticket for sale. A buddy of mine had to fly to Japan for business.

I'll be there again this weekend at turn 12. We took the downtown shuttle bus over on Fri last year and parked at one of the nearby offsite lots on Sat and Sun. They added a few more shuttle locations this year, so hopefully that will help with reducing the car traffic around the track. If you arrive early, getting to the track was easy. We left a bit lat on Sun, so the line for the shuttle to the parking lot at turn 1 was ridiculously long.
No radio commentary that I'm aware of. Kangaroo was great to have last year. Really sucks there is no replacement for it. Why does Nascar have this, but nothing for F1. WTF.
I don't remember data being an issue, but other than using it to check into Foursquare, I wasn't on it that much.
Trying to decide if I'm going to lug my DSLR there this year. I haven't even edited all of the pictures I took last year.

two words when away from the track, South Congress.
We were there for MotoGP in April of this year but we were VIP and the attendance was nowhere near F1 levels so I can't help with your track questions aside from the fact that Sprint data was unusable. AT&T was better but still sub-par.
