It's a great wkend, the city is absolutely humming, but I'm not sure I would go back considering the cost and time involved. If you are going for a 72hr party-a-thon it cant be beat, but that wont be a cheap 72hr binge either. But if you exclude the "spectacle" aspect of an F1 wkend (which should be appreciated at least once since it is certainly special, especially the way it goes down in Montreal), I get more bang for the buck walking down the street, grabbing 12 beers, and sitting in the bleachers at the end of the Lakeshore straight watching PT dive bomb unsuspecting oval drivers during the Toronto Indy for a couple of hours (RIP Molson). Heck, watching the local talent duke it out at Mosport in sports cars is more entertaining to me than F1. I think the wkend in Montreal with the GF would run over $2K...ouch!

First problem = GF lol
second problem = For a car enthusiast, I think its mandatory at least once. Granted it will cost you, but these days, what doesn't? I'm sure the party will be worth it, as well as seeing the great f1 drivers live.

You ever been to 3-rivers? Beats Montreal's parties during the big race weekend in Aug

I don't know if I'm going yet; but if I do I should have ring-side position (albeit hauling 50 pounds of gear on me the whole time)

Last time I was there was 06, good times indeed.
