If Ferrari still had Brawn then they would have had the diffuser, and there'd be no controversy at all
No because that rule many not have ever existed...so not a valid statement.

The rule would have existed but Ferrari would be the toast of the F1 fraternity for so uniquely interpreting the rule and installing the diffuser. Not to mention the Tifosi would be banging the drum singing praises of Brawn or Byrne's genius.

Point of the thread is that BGP is an expensive car built at a cost of 750USD and 5 wind tunnels.
When you restructure to be on par with or better than the front-runners, there is always a cost involved. No big deal as long as your investment reaps the expected return. Alas, Honda left (which totally killed me) and Brawn is reaping the benefit.

If Williams or Force India could, they too would spend that kind of money

Now I gotta see what you have to say to brush this off as I'm sure you will

Ferrari will never win anything again because their Italian to Brit ratio is nearly equal to the number of wins they have this season....zero.

I think thats illogical. They are a championship winning team and if you were to do a trend analysis, they will bounce back stronger yet again. Although I will admit it may be a while before they have another era like the Schumi era..... unless of course they get Baby Schumi in their car

The. Most. Costly. Tank. of. Fuel. Ever. As in....bye-bye driver title. What don't you get?

I'd rather have an expensive car, than bad gas....and bad gas for Tifosi this season is certainly giving your people a bit of agita, eh?

^^ that I agree with. That pit stop cost Massa & Ferrari dearly and may also have led to a loss in revenue as they did not win the drivers championship.

Actually it isn't. Just ask Nikki Lauda....a three-time World Champion who echoed the same sentiments. Ferrari's pasta culture will not yield anything. At least their car color matches their table wine.

^^ Opinions are like wallets, everyone has one, but not all wallets have money in em

F1 is very near & dear to Ferrari. They will not go quietly into the night as is evident from the fact that they are the most dominant team in F1 history.
