+1 on kill for a Richard Mille. Massa, you lucky SOB!

The special edition car manufacturer watches are getting out of hand, what with the McLaren MBZ, Koenigsegg and others...

Yeah, Massa has the best watch deal of the entire grid...hilarious that KR, FA, and LH endorse quartz Tag watches. Hell, even Jeff Gordon gets an automatic Carrera to endorse.

And track fees, and hotels, and track food, and brake pads, and new rims, and more r-compounds, and gas for the hungry red beast, and a new helmet communicator and on and on and on...

Hey, while I'm thinking of it. As an instructor in GVC BMW CCA we have to have a helmet communicator for our students, it is a requirement to teach. My crappy old Nady system dies during the last school in the fall so I bought a new Chatterbox. I have to tell ya guys, this thing is downright great. If you are an instructor get one, if you are a student and you instructor never shows up with one, get one, if you are a student and your instructor shows up with one, but wants you to stick the well used by other people communicator into your helmet, get one!!!

This is the basic unit that mounts right to my helmet

Then I got this for my helmet

And this for the students helmet

And finally this to give me plenty of extra wire like when I have a student in my car and the cord has to go all the way from my left side over to the studen't left side.

I got the ehole thing for $130, and it was amazing to be able to just calmly talk to my student with no problem, plus, I really like as I wired everything into my helmet, now when I put my own helmet on I don't have to screw around with cramming a headset up into my ear pocket.

I've got a Nady unit right now, the chatterbox does look sweet though. Speaking of, are you gonna make the trip up to Mosport this year?

The Mosport dates for our GVC BMW CCA school are 7/16-7/17.
As of now, yes, I'm planning to be there.

I used the Nady for a long time, but the wires are too damn weak and I have thrown away so many headsets it is not even funny. The Chatterbox looks to be a much more durable unit, which is what is needed when you have to deal with a bunch of ham fisted students.

My student last weekend at The Glen was in a Mini Cooper S. I got to put to good use all those years of CRX-SiR driving as I was teaching him the fine art of TTOS (trailing throttle over steer). I remember saying to him "when I say lift, I want your foot off that gas pedal, then I want you to get right back on it, I don't want even a fraction of a second delay, when I say lift, damn it man, lift." You should have seen the cars we were passing. We were charging into corners so fast that once we got to the apex you could see we were about to drive right off track, then a dramatic lift, the backend swings out, the gas goes back on, the weight transfer to the rear hooks up the rear tires, and your full throttle pulling yourself towards the next corner. And I'm happy to say, not many RWD instructors are able to teach them lessons.... LIFT!

Since this whole thread is off topic hopefully I won't get yelled at for being off topic

Wanted to say Hi to you Triple-H! I sent you a PM about 3 weeks ago but never heard back. I'm persistent though so until you tell me to take a hike I'll keep bugging you!

I attended my 2nd track day at NH in April - had alot of fun, and really feel like I got the line down this time... my instructor was Jeff Harding who I liked alot. I wanted to say thanks again for all your early help getting started with my new addiction!

Will you be going to the Oct 29/30 Watkins Glen event with SCDA? I'm strongly considering being at class on the 29th... I would LOVE to have an instructor who knows my car - maybe I could ask for you if you do plan to go?

And now, back to your regularly scheduled chat!
