F1 GP of Japan Spoiler. . .
Michael Schumacher is a world class act!
If this had happened to FA he would be in the media right now saying how Renault does not stand behind him and how he has vowed to win the driver's championship at all costs...
Michael Schumacher (DNF, Engine): "We are a great team. Our guys are the best and I have a great affection for everyone at Ferrari and am always more than satisfied in the way we work. Incidents like today's can happen and they are part of racing. You win together but you also lose together. Today we did our best, I was leading the race and then my engine broke. That's the simplest way to sum it up. That is Formula 1. We can be proud of what we have achieved since Canada: we were twenty five points behind and no one could have thought we would be back in the fight for the championship, but we did it. Now we are nine points behind in the Constructors' classification and we will do all we can to win this title in Brazil. As for the Drivers,' it is lost. I don't want to head off for a race, hoping that my rival has to retire. That is not the way in which I want to win the title."
Another part of this race that amazed me was how poorly it seemed to be run. I was in complete shock when the CA's orange Spyker spit out its driveshaft and ripped apart the backend of the car. Where were the yellow flags? Where was the safety car? Why was the track not cleaned? Why did one lowly corner worker have to run out onto the track to pick up the one piece of debris that was so big it could not be missed?
Sure the safety car would have bunched up the field and advantages would have been nullified, but I would rather see that than have someone experience a catastrophic tire failure due to shards of carbon fiber and plow into a wall.

^^^^ regardless Doug, you LOVED FA last year, you even bought his hat!!!! The only reason your now a Tifosi (LAUGH) Is your 1 eyebrowed boy wonder is going to a team You hate!!!! As a matter of fact, you RARELY kissed Tifosi ass last year.. you were 100% on the Renault bandwagon...fact my friend.
Also, if the great fat chinned chooch would have pitted in hungary, he would only be 5-6 points away from his 8th title. AND, if he would have accepted qualifing 2-3 at monaco, he would only be 2 to at most 5 points behind FA. The ONLY person to blame for Ferrari's predicament is the Feuher!!!!!
Hats off tto the 2006 WDC Unibrow. So what he gets fiesty... Ever been to Spain?? There are 68 million Fiesty Spainish people there. Fiesty or not, he never crashed a guy to win a WC, He never got fined 1 million dollars and had his and his teams points stripped. He never said he had to have a loser as a teammate in his contract. FA is a hell of a lot more like AS or AP that the Fueher ever could dream to be. He is 25 not 37 and i do not see him venting frustration as a bad thing. As a matter of fact, IF and only IF Honda Racing F1 and Super Aguri cant win, then i shall cheer the great 1 eyebrowed chooch to kick the shit out of Renault and Ferrari over the next 3 years. You all forget, FA has equal skill for his age as MS in the techo side of driving... Something McLaren has not had sine the Real Iceman left. That crazy Spaniard will destroy his old team and his hated rival Ferrari.... Unfortunately, he will not beat the Honda Racing F1 Team and Sir Jenson Button!!!!!!!!

Where was the safety car?
More importantly, where is my $$ ?
Just when I thought this was the one place where level heads can discuss F1, in comes the typical retards to spoil it. The venom spewed by these delusional idiots is amazing.
The Auto Racing forum was the last bastion of civility on this board (other than Vintage). I hope, through the moderators, we can weed out the venom and get back to racing (discussion).

One of the things that makes F1 (and ALMS) great are all the different manufacturers involved in the competition...
I love Honda and have followed all their auto racing efforts for the last 13 years but IRL has gotten really boring this year when they win ALL the time!
I'm sorry to see Michelin leaving F1 as that will make things just that much less predictable.

I think you meant MORE predictable.

Of course with F1 things can go either way - who needs soap operas when you're an F1 fan?
