Well F1 had HD TV for a few years but that greedy money grubber Bernie, forced people to pay a ridiculous amount for it. I remember seeing Monaco in HD on CBS HD. It was fantastic. Well that venture went bankrupt and out went HD.
FINALLY, HD will be making its long awaited return to F1. Funny when they promote F1 as the pinnacle of motorsport yet they still only provide SD broadcasts, while that technologically retarded series NASCAR gets full HD.
