I'm glad Daniel is making a comeback, the A/T isn't a car I'd want to drive though. Wonder if he does well if it means Perez may be at risk.

Pretty sure Marko keeps the axe in his pocket, he's never been shy of using it, contract or not.
Perez being able to come back through the field should be expected knowing how much quicker the RBR is, his quali in recent races has been appalling, not sure how long they'll put up with that. If Perez loses 2nd place my guess is he's gone.

Perez's race results are hindered by his poor qualifying form / luck. If the RB wasn't so dominant, Max's ability to walk away from the field and hold first would be in jeopardy. If Merc, Ferrari or AM can close that gap and put pressure on Max, Perez's inability to stay in the top few spots will be magnified in importance because he won't be up there to help his teammate.
I am stoked to see Danny Ric back on the grid. His personality and driving style bring something special to the sport. He had some bad luck and made some poor choices but I'm just glad to see him out of the reserve role. Is Nyck taking DR's spot as reserve driver or are they booting him completely?

^ Not sure if Nyck is staying, went to the AT site and when you click drivers it only shows the news about Daniel coming back.

Haas will keep the same line up for next season. I think this is a good move.

So much for rumors about Lewis heading to Ferrari (which i think would be very cool), Mercedes extends contracts for both drivers through 2025

Yeah, I think if Ferrari were doing better (in every aspect) Lewis may have considered it. Glad he's signed a 2 year deal, that will shut some people up at least.

I know Ferrari needs Lewis - Michael Schumacher told the team what to do, and I think the organization requires that kind of driver (and Lewis can do that). However, as you said, Lewis doesn’t need that. . . And frankly, in 2023, you need a team that sticks to their digital strategy and modeling, and can work with (read: push back on) a driver.
