I'm actually quite pleasantly surprised at this outcome! I'm very happy to see Brawn not only keep their (IMO) well-earned points, but one that won't upset their planned course of development through the year.

It will definitely be interesting to watch the scramble when the teams get to Europe to implement new aero packages including the now not so "trick" diffusor design!

The only odd part to this story is that when other teams asked about this type of diffuser, the FIA told them it was illegal.
For me this is the key.

None of us really have all the facts, bit what it looks like to me is just another situation where the FiA is not acting in an honest and rational way.

The fact that so many of the big teams were all wrong in their interpretation of the rules, and a few of the smaller teams came up with the same totally new and innovative idea, added to the smaller teams were not a part of the FOTA team that developed the new aero rules, all makes me believe there is a whole bunch of facts we do not know about, and the FiA once again is acting more like a biased partner and not like a fair judge.

all hail "brawn the confuser". the fia now has to explain why the appeal was turned down. thier reason for refusal may lead to a tweaking of the rules again. which will p o somebody. what the current rule on testing during this season? i think renault has the best chance to gain some speed having already work out a diffuser on their chassie.

And for the record, this ruling once again shows
the FiA does not always act in ways that favor Ferrari!

i'm glad this is settled...for now. i'm glad Brawn gets to keep their points and i'm happy they don't have to invest money into changing their design. i imagine they are already tight with cash.

it does suck for the other teams. i'm sure they'll catch up, but they're a step behind.

Ferrari needs to shut their trap, stop whining, and figure out a way to copy(like they always do) a double deck diffuser.

This wknd will be very interesting!

Like Brawn said earlier in the year regarding the speed of the BGP 001, it will take some time for them to figure it out if they can at all. That is a paraphrase.
