For their history and influence on auto racing:

Monaco ... flagship of F1.
Nurburgring ... the green hell, the ultimate track.
LeMans ... admittedly a street course, but the location of one of the most storied races.
Watkins Glen ... home of American road racing
Indianapolis ... oldest & most famous US track
Daytona ... birthplace of NASCAR

I see...I have a friend that is interested in building a couple of race tracks and wanted to know what people really liked of particular courses.
I have yet to drive this course, but I have been watching it grow for years, and have spoken in length to peopl who have driven it.

This too is one flat out amazing track, fast corners + slow corners + tricky corners + elevation changes + long straights + short straights + blind corners, it has it all!

Check out the web site, lorts of pics, including construction images.

Calabogie Motorsports Park, Calabogie, Ontario, Canada.

To me, this is what it is all about, elevation changes and the feeling like you are driving someplace. Those who run in circles are retards in my book.

Elevation changes!

I have been doing driving schools since 1990, I have been teaching since about 1999. I have well over 10,000 track miles under my belt, the only real downside is I have only driven Watkins Glen, Mosport, and Mid Ohio, but none the less, I do have a fair amount of exposure. Do you have any really specific questions or should I just continue to throw up tracks and blabber on?

If I could go to any track to do a driving school I wanted, one of my very 1st pics would be Laguna Seca.

The overall track map may not seem very exciting, but this is indeed one of the best of the best.

^ aahhhhhhhh yes, the incredible flying MB....

But of course, that was MB's fault, had nothing to do with the track as the other cars were able to stay on the ground.
