I'm thinking this could be the most universally common subject matter here.
Let's post things here that Bernie has done that just makes you mad and has you confused about him actually doing what is best for the sport.
I'll start with this. I think the Malaysian race start time was a very stupid idea. I think the low light, long shadows, sun in the driver's eyes, potential for real darkness with monsoon clouds all together add up to a bad idea that was not worth it just to make the live time nice and comfy for the UK fans. I go so far as to believe these twilight races could be a safety issue due to lack of visability looking into the sun directly.
[QUOTE]Bernie Ecclestone has brushed off criticism surrounding the start time of Sunday's monsoon-hit Malaysian Grand Prix.
Ecclestone switched the beginning of the race to 5pm local time to attract a bigger television audience across Europe but concerns were aired long before the event at the Sepang circuit about the strong chance of rain in the early evening, and so it proved.
Once the heavy rain struck the race had to be stopped and it was ultimately decided conditions were too dangerous for a re-start and speaking to Autosport, Formula One supremo Ecclestone said: "I don't see anything wrong with the start time, we just didn't know about the rain. If we had started at 2pm then it would have rained as well."
However, race organisers have confirmed they are to discuss the situation with Ecclestone regarding next year's race and beyond.
Sepang International Circuit chairman Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir said: "We will review it.
"As to exactly what time it will start next year, we are not sure. But we are reviewing the timing for next year's race."

He did it for the hundreds of millions in Europe. It doesn't matter anyway....he does it for the $$$$.
It will be interesting to see how F1 goes without Bernie one day. I don't know if it will be better or worse. Sometimes I think he is the only man with an ego far bigger than the ego's of the F1 teams that can keep them all in line. I think he summed it up when he said, "They think they have me by the balls but their hands are not big enough." Or witness what he did to Ron Dennis and Flavio before Australia calling their bluff.

Medals system or 'winner of most races wins title' proposal. Stupid. Both the last two championships were decided at the last race, and '05 and '06 were pretty close too - there is not too much wrong with the current points system. The FOTA proposal is just fine too. Idiotic.

I hate Bernie, for standing by when Max cooks up plans like this.
A common engine for all teams in F1?
WTF?!?

Mosley reveals plans for FIA 'world engine'
On a visit last weekend to the rally of Portugal he said: "It would work in turbocharged form for F1 and then all the way down to naturally aspirated form for the lesser categories and in a turbocharged or naturally aspirated form for the world rally championship."
The FIA president said the planning phase of the project is in its "very early days", with the car manufacturers to be involved.
In the case of F1, he said "peripheral areas" of the engine will be open for development, including KERS and other energy recovery systems to be introduced.
Asked for further information, he said energy could be collected not only from braking heat as at present, but "from exhausts and even from the cooling system".
Referring to the universal FIA engine, he added: "If we can - and I'm not sure we can - find a way of combining all forms of motor sport in that system then this would be useful because of the huge sums spent on motor sport."

maybe bernie and max need to do a top gear episode.
they can drive a slow car through a hostile area with a nasty saying painted on the side.
while film crews film them getting the crap beat out of them.
of course max would keep stopping because he enjoys it.
