Traitor I still wear my Honda shirt to the track even when my team sucks

I LOVED the NSX @ Suzuka! Wow! Senna was so calm and relaxed in the car, definitely something to strive for on track. He even took both hands off the wheel at one point though

Something to try at WGI in April

damn doug... the vid of monaco was amazing. senna going through the gears.... just amazing. i wish i had been born earlier to have seen him race. even though i believe senna is an amazing driver, do u really believe he would make an enormous difference if he were at his prime driving both the RA07 and RA08 today? i am just really curious. back onto topic. i really cant wait to see my man kimi to go for a second WDC title woohoo!! and i hope honda can get their act together. have always been a fan of honda in general and always will be, but same goes with ferrari

You can go off topic and onto Ayrton Senna any day, any hour, in any thread and it will be just fine with me. As I sit here to type out a reply I can feel the tears welling up in the corner of my eyes, Ayrton's death hit me very hard as I watched it all unfold on that fateful Mother's Day.

In a word yes!

One thing almost everybody agreed upon was his ability to just always get 110% out of a car. He had a driving gift like Schumacher, but had a passion and a fire like very few people. Michael's combination was skill and brains, Senna was more skill and passion. You never saw MS loose his composure in public, he was and remains the constant professional. AS on the other hand could often be counted on for an explosion of somekind, this is a man who after a crash with Eddie Irvine just walked up to him and demonstrated his winter training program - boxing. Eddie went down, and I mean down for the count.

One of the other amazing things about AS's drives, and I'm sure it was partly because times were different then, but never the less it was a factor. When AS was coming up on a slower car, and I don't just mean a back marker, I mean someone who should continue to fight, they would just pull over and let him go through. It was like the other drivers knew, he is coming through, one way or the other, now I can keep fighting and put myself in jepordy, or I can just get the hell out of his way and let him go; and that i exactly what they would do.

RB has past his prime as far as I'm concerned, he may have a role as a tester to help with setiup but I don't see him having the fire to win. JB, honestly, I think he is nothing but an average driver. You bet AS could be accomplishing more, no question about it in my mind.

Unfortunately, i really dont think even Senna can turn the car around. A great driver can only do so much.
