Message from the new Moderator of ARD forum
Hello forum contributors.
I'm the new Moderator of this forum. I forgot that I was going to get this assignment and was reminded abruptly about it with a barrage of "Report To Posts" messages that I got in my email.
I'll get to the introductions later.....just want to state my piece/peace to set the tone of my moderation early.
I WILL NOT tolerate any negatively biased racial, gender, sexual orientation, etc. comments in this forum. If I get reports of such, like I have, I will be fair and review the threads/posts in question and make a judgement call. In those that need multiple eyeballs, I will ask the site admins to weigh in on judgement.
As an offender, you will get one chance, the next opportunity that you offend, I'll suggest a 'time-out' or a temp. ban from this particular forum. I'm not an "over-moderator", but can be when needed. This will be very frustrating for those that offend.
Ok, enough of the "Dr. Downer" 'tude from me. I promise when I have more time later today, I'll make a more lightened post introducing myself a bit more in detail.
I hope I've ruffled some feathers, and those feathers tend to flock together.
Thanks guys.

Post re-opened. Discuss.
Oh yeah, I've gotten a couple of PM's from a couple of you guys already. Thanks for the welcome, and kissing ass with me goes a long way (I play favorites.....try me).
It was asked in one PM, I do tolerate race series and 'my favorite driver is better than your favorite driver' pissing debates. However, if those debates get nasty, I'll regulate.
For a matter of opinion, ALMS owns all. F1 is NASCAR, on a global scale (overly regulated, overly marketed, and too big-budget). With ALMS, you get talented drivers, mass traffic on the track, and street-ish Ferraris, Porsches, Corvettes, and Aston Martins....along with P1 and P2s.
Gotta love it.

I'm sorry, what I meant to say is the F1 is Nascar with more right hand turns.
. Ok, I'm just stirring the pot here.
In fact, I use to love F1....before it became mainstream-ish in the states. It's also more recently become the racing series where the champion is determined by who can spend the most and play politics the best with officials. Sounds like NASCAR to me, only thing missing is a scripted reality show around the F1 experience.

Lude have you watched the races this year? If you strayed from F1 I think you'll find this season to be the most exciting we've had since the early 90s, and not because the team I root for is winning. The cars are ultra-competitive this year, something not seen in quite a long time. I am talking pretty much the whole field is fast.

Yeah, I watched the last two and plan on watching this Sunday. Some of the luster is back for me, but I'm still not a fan of F1 like I used to be.
In fact, this year, I think I've watched more NASCAR than I have in all the years prior combined. I'm slowly watching more and more of NASCAR.
However, ALMS is a whole different animal to me. To put it in basketball terms, it's like watching players with NBA league skills in the park. I've been lucky enough to watch some ALMS in person and accessibility to teams, drivers, paddock, cars, etc. is amazing. Real race teams, real race drivers, and real race fans!
.....oh, here's another: It's like watching major league skilled players in minor league venues.
