Only reason I think I started watching NASCAR this season is because of the "stock" Toyota Camry cars that are running.

That and with two young kids, it's hard to sit and watch a show in its entirety. NASCAR is good for that...watch the start of the race and the first 10 laps for any major accidents, go play with the kids, watch the middle of the race for lots of yellow flag laps due to weather, go feed the kids, and then watch the last three laps for any drama or to watch the racers finish under yellow.

Wait a sec, two races ago, that was F1 too.

FOX channel is not one my favorites in my household (save for Simpsons, Family Guy, Lie to Me, and maybe one or two other shows)

Correct - Brawn hasn't won anything yet...

Two more months they'll be the reigning WDC and Contructor's. Same for next year, and the next year, and the next year. And when Brawn signs Vettel...they'll be good until 2020. Should have about 10 WDCs and Constructor titles by then

NASCAR is the motorsport equivalent of professional wrestling. In fact, there is a Darren Aronofsky new film starring Micky Rourke called, The Driver, a poignant tale of a beaten, battered, down and out and washed up former NASCAR champion driver who lost his family for his sport. In his waning years, his body frail and beat after years of crashes, his time is relegated to decidedly third tier venues. Watch the dramatic turn as he faces a life changing crossroads between a life of domestic bliss and a life devoted to his sport.

Lude have you watched the races this year? If you strayed from F1 I think you'll find this season to be the most exciting we've had since the early 90s, and not because the team I root for is winning. The cars are ultra-competitive this year, something not seen in quite a long time. I am talking pretty much the whole field is fast.
1.5 seconds covered the entire field at the last race!!

F1 is in rude health, but as ever, that bloody fascist Mosley is going to muck it all up again...

Welcome to the dog-fighting pit Luder. Maybe I tolerate more than most but it was rare, IMO, that someone needed a real slap in these parts. Having strong emotions comes with being a fan so some flame-festing is expected.

Hello forum contributors.

I'm the new Moderator of this forum. I forgot that I was going to get this assignment and was reminded abruptly about it with a barrage of "Report To Posts" messages that I got in my email.

I'll get to the introductions later.....just want to state my piece/peace to set the tone of my moderation early.

I WILL NOT tolerate any negatively biased racial, gender, sexual orientation, etc. comments in this forum. If I get reports of such, like I have, I will be fair and review the threads/posts in question and make a judgement call. In those that need multiple eyeballs, I will ask the site admins to weigh in on judgement.

As an offender, you will get one chance, the next opportunity that you offend, I'll suggest a 'time-out' or a temp. ban from this particular forum. I'm not an "over-moderator", but can be when needed. This will be very frustrating for those that offend.

Ok, enough of the "Dr. Downer" 'tude from me. I promise when I have more time later today, I'll make a more lightened post introducing myself a bit more in detail.

I hope I've ruffled some feathers, and those feathers tend to flock together.

Thanks guys.
congrats man. 3 years and a second kid later, i still haven't taken up your offer when i go up to ORD LOL

Hehehe....this close to each other and still can't get together. Maybe we'll catch up at the BRIC at Road America or an event at Indy this summer. Still holding on strong to my Mingster dead pedal all these years!
