rubbing is retarted
Montoya was in a class of his own in that race... night and day difference.
His move on his teammate however was a bit ambitious; he had lots of time to pass him. Unfortunately that miscue overshadowed a brilliant race by JPM.

No. Rubbing is NASCAR racing, not all of racing.

Watch the video yourself. Scott didn't take a wide line into the corner. He took the proper line into the corner. He didn't take a defensive line into the corner. That's cuz he didn't expect his team mate to punt him (something that was spoken about a great deal within the team. In fact before it happened, even Chip told SPEED that the only team orders were to not take the other out).
Scott was bound to be passed and I am sure he knew it, but the outcome should have been 1 and 2, not 1 and 5.

Montoya is an impatient driver, period. He could have passed Pruett later in the race, but instead he sacrified the team from doing well. Very selfish. Montoya is not in a class by himself, ok maybe the back of the class. When it comes to the Nextel series, he doesn't hold a candle to the top drivers. The skill level is not there. That's another reason why Schumacher refuses to try Nascar, he doesn't want to be embarassed. Yes there great F1 drivers but Nascar. Not even close. Montoya should do well in the Busch series, it's different from Nextel. When it comes to road courses like the one in Mexico, he'll do fine.

Of course you rub, they know that, they do it all race long. But he didn't rub, he went into the turn too hard, and the result was he hit Pruett. Not a good way to make friends. You need friends in that business also. Hence drafting on ovals. Helping and makign deals with other racers. That's what they do behind the scenes. He won't get any help if he keeps driving like that.
I'll go out on a limp and say that Montoya will not win one race in the Nextel series this year. Actually that's not even going out on a limp, he won't.
