Too little too late but it sounds as if they didn’t do enough to draw consistent event stream in to the complex. They built it but no one came. I believe with new owners, perhaps an investment by Bernie, that the complex is still viable. But like many places, the F1 carrot flashed big dollar moments but no long term plan.

I wonder if this is a way bernie can reinvest some of the recent scandal money and appease the German government, giving him some freedom to go back into the country. I thought it was ineresting that he didnt show up at at the German GP because he didnt want to be a distraction.

Hopefully someone buys it and keeps it going!!
I bought a pass for 4 runs, and after my 2nd run, there was an accident so they closed the track!!
I still have the pass w/ 2 runs left!!
Nooooooo!!

It's because F1 is awarded to Hockenheim at least for another 5 years I believe (read: Bernie is investing not in the ring but Hockenheim, so don't expect a emergency bail out from him). I do believe there will be plenty of car manufacturers in Germany rallying for support to save the ring from extinction, as most any major manufacturer has a testing facility in the vicinity
