I also feel HK will soon be the #1 at McLaren. Especially since the Germans (MB) seem to love Finns. We shall see. But HK dif a hell of a better job than the snivley lil girlie girl Louise all weekend

Oh man, that would be great!!!
And believable from my point of view, the McCheaters have already shown, they will throw their #1 driver into boiling water if it stands to benefit them.

Alonso, although a prima donna in what may prove to be a second tier car, really rung his Renault by the neck to finish in the points. He had his car slip-sliding around but kept it together. He drove like a two time world champion.
I happen to like FA so I don't share your point-of-view about him being a prima donna, but I do agree the Renault has lost a lot since 2006, and FA was really driving it.

My observation is with HK. Last year he was in the Renault and I never really noticed him. Now he is in a better car and how can you not help but notice him?!? Based upon what I'm seeing so far this year from HK I get a better understanding of just how much work team Renault have ahead of themselves to get back to their winning ways.

I really liked Massa in 2006, and in 2007, he was eh....

2008 is not starting off well for him. Unlike Kimi, who can still fight for a win from the back of a grid, Massa seems he only has a real chance of winning from pole position. Sometimes I think Ferrari should have retained a more steady 2nd driver and kept Rubens. Oh well, the season is still early. 2 weeks until Bahrain GP!

Massa has never been great at passing slightly slower cars. He seemed to get frustrated and make stupid moves. Contrast that with Lewis' several brilliant passes last year. I figure he made enough of them stick under braking to not just be luck. That comment about Massa losing concentration is my guess too. The red mist? I'm sure Ferrari will give him more opportunities but he needs to recognize his place at Ferrari as the #2 guy soon.

I think the so called strange behavior is nothing more than oversteer caused by A- too much throttle and B- no longer having the safety net of traction control.

Massa Sez 'Strange Behaviour' May Have Caused Crash

Felipe Massa on Sunday did not take the blame for his retirement from the Malaysian grand prix.

The pole sitter, who had fallen behind his teammate and grand prix winner Kimi Raikkonen through the first pit stops at Sepang, mysteriously spun into the gravel around mid-distance.

"I don't know what happened, I just lost the car completely," he was quoted as explaining to the British broadcaster ITV.

"There was strange behaviour on the rear, so I don't know," the Brazilian added.

Massa's second retirement of 2008 means that while eleven drivers have scored points in the opening two races, the 26-year-old is now fourteen points behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton.

FA says it like it is...

[QUOTE]The Spanish newspaper Diario AS asked Alonso, who like Heidfeld was held up at Sepang, about the possible rule tweak to have a minimum speed limit.

What pisses me off to no end is FM was in a great position to help his team get back into the lead with points, but noooooooooo. He let his desire to win to get in the way of the team's objectives, he threw his car away racing for a position when all he had to do to take 2nd and put Ferrari back on top was relax and drive a resonable pace, he and KR were way, way out front at the time.

I thought about this a lot last night, and I would swear I recal reading last year Ferrari extended FM a 3-year contract. Now I could be wrong, but I swear I remember because when I read it I was furious because I just don't see FM as a great driver. He still seems to hot and cold to me, too unpredicatable.
Yup and instead of being only 3 pts behind KR, he is now 11....he needs to think more about the big picture.

How sad driver's for McLaren were not smart enough to get off the racing line. I was impressed when HK was interviewed and came right out and admitted he was wrong. Had that been LH I can only imagine what kind of media sound bite crap he would have come up with, because we all know, he is the best thing sincel sliced bread, and can do nothing wrong.
If it would have been MS - all hell would be breaking loose, calling for him to be DQed and thrown out of F1....

Kubica! I'm definitely a fan now. He impressed me last year, and WOW what a start to 2008!
