Heres a 20 min clip of some driver interviews and behind the scenes in the F1 Paddock. Unlike series in america, where u can go into the garage area, in F1 all that is private access and the only people aloud are team personnel, team/driver guests and VIP's.

If u think hollywood has to deal w/ photographers watch F1 drivers.

This engine thing is killing me. Remember, these are frozen engines. The only thing that's changed is the damn ECU. I can't see this spec ECU thing lasting. There's going to be an uprising, especially if McMerc continues to be the only reliable car on track.

Pending any further engine problems, I'm predicting Kimi, Lewis, Felipe.

And yes, I was up late last night watching it. It's an addiction.
It is funny how a frozen engine design is now having problems. But its only ferrari. I too was shocked when the grant wasn't given to Magneti Marelli.

The fact that it's Ferrari is what bothers me. Not because I'm a Ferrari fan, but because they're one of the top performing teams. Electronics are absolutely crucial. They've built an engine that runs right on the raged edge of it's performance capabilities, and it's been their fine tuning of their electronics system that has allowed it to do so reliably. Now, they've got the same engine mechanically, but without the years and years of experiance they had with their old ECU.

I don't buy into the whole "sabotage" thing wherein some people are saying that McMerc can hit a switch and kill another team's car, but I do think McMerc has a deeper understanding of the ECU that allows them to tune an engine to it's full potential, reliably.

I'm not a conspiracy theory type of guy, but I do think McMerc has an absolutely unfair advantage. Unless the other teams can figure out the ECU, I think it will go away. With Mosley and Eccelstone's desire for a "greener" F1, electronics will play a vital role in that. Allowing electronic competition through different electronic systems is going to further development in this sence. The spec ECU was a horrible idea.

I agree...spec ECU is just retarded. Its only electronics and teams should choose whatever they want.

Last night the SPEED commentators clued the audience in on how conflicted McLaren is. Apparently, Microsoft hardly had a hand in the ECU development. It was basically all McLaren. Ecclestone just liked the idea of having Microsoft ($$$) associated with F1. Magnetti Marelli was shocked it wasn't given the contract, especially since their spec ECU development was a lot further ahead than its competition. Stupid is as stupid does I suppose.

god BE needs to die. all he cares about is money. he doesnt want the aus gp to change to a night race for europeans. he wants more money. if the fans in europe are truely dedicated fans, they would find a way to watch it. the spec ECU needs to go!

I somehow feel BE did this to make F1 more exciting (i.e. make it more difficult for Ferrari to win). I think its a calculated move on his part.

Yup it does. So much for my theories. I am a little disappointed with the BMWs was expecting a little more from them. And finally Toyota can justify its millions. All we need is Honda to up its ante.Come on Honda wake wake.

I'm putting my money on Raikonnen for tomorrows race. Kudos to Kovalainen on beating his esteemed team-mate.

Go Heikki! I didn't know much about him till I saw him beat Schumacher at the Race of Champions. He was also the only one that showed genuine emotions at the podium. Kimi is always funny to listen to talk
