The S2000 parade in the background was definitely a high point of coverage!
announcers are idiots. the contact between rafa and danica was danicas fault. she didn't see him, they could have gone 2 wide through the kink. rafa had a run on her, and had half the car inside, that gives him the corner, u only need 50%, not a full car length inside. And if a driver says its a full car length they're retarded and thats why they ended up in the wall. then robbie buhl said where would he go after? uhhhh... he would of had the inside to the carousel.
i've seen in years past people execute that same pass.
at least they went out big!

Here's an interesting article on the incident: http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/94210...up?-Not-so-fast

I happen to think that the burden of responsibility is always on the person trying to make the pass.

just saw speed report, if she would have not closed the door on him and stayed tight at the next apex they would have been fine... as in she would have accepted she lost teh position.
they showed her grabbing Rafa's helmet as they walked away. If she did that to me, I would have falcon punched her or better yet **** punt her.

I think its a racing incident. IMO, Rafa didn't have the pass made and agree with Mike that it's the responsibility of the passing car to make it clean. BUT, if Danica saw him and didn't give him room, she shares a lot of the responsibility. AND more concerning is if she DIDN'T see him at all. That is another problem that underscores what I think is 'dubious' racecraft on her part. She was slowed a few corners earlier and should have been aware that he was back there and might make a lunge.
She did do one thing right, when the pit lane reporter asked her what happened, she said "i have to see the replay before i can comment" or something to that effect.
Plus, she's the only driver i saw that had two State Troopers as escorts to get back into the paddock.
