not only Button critisized Toro Rosso's decision to let the 19 years old drive in the middle of a season with zero F1 testing experience.there is nothing to pick on Button there.

Nope I have never been a big fan either...this season proves why - he can't win unless he has the best car in the best circumstances. He can't change his driving style to drive around limitations of the car. For example, BGP has a problem bringing tire temps up in colder condition, JB can't change his driving style to get more temp in the tires, so he finishes mid-pack in what is supposed to be the best car on the grid...
^^ It will only take a victory or a well-earned podium to reignite the passion for winning.
Anyone is bound to be disappointed after starting so well and suddenly ending up in midfield, besides not everyone has the mental tenacity of Schumi.

he already proved otherwise in hungary 2006.and if you want to compare Button's start with the rosso guy? 1 year difference in age is not the same! and having to start in the middle of the season with no testing whatsoever is not the same as preparing and testing! i wonder how you see, and the man who wrote that article see that Button's start was similar!
Button is doing a great job considering the circumstanses of every race, he is maxing out what the car is capable of. if button was just an average f1 driver, he wouldnt have won in such a perfect consistency when the car is perfect, a good driver like button made it look easy, but it isnt! you have to give him credit with the team for his wins this season.
HEY MATRIX. i want to make a deal with you
if button wins the WDC this year, with the most race wins, not like how Hamilton won it. you have to admit that he has the talent to win.
and if he didnt, ill admit that you were right with what you said about him. deal?

I'm disappointed that JB is slowly losing his winning attitude. That fire he started the season with is slowly dying...

Maybe he never had that fire in him... he was just riding the wave on the car that was ahead of its competition at season start. It is looking more and more like he does not have the strong enough passion to be cut-throat, to adapt (driving style-wise), to drive the hell out of the car

Drivers like Alonso, Hamilton (mentioned in earlier posts by others) definitely have much stronger passion... and sometimes you can feel they channel the anger they have against their crappier cars and turn that into aggressive driving on (sometime over) the edge and manage to get something more out of a race than the car deserves...
