William Hill gives the following odds on these dates:
------------------------------2/4/02----2/16/02
Michael Schumacher-----------8:15--------1:2
Juan Pablo Montoya------------4:1---------4:1
Ralf Schumacher---------------6:1--------13:2
David Coulthard----------------9:1---------8:1
Kimi Raikkonen---------------14:1--------12:1
Rubens Barrichello------------20:1--------20:1
What do you think the final standings will be--first, second, & third?
I'll throw the first "other" into the ring: Schumi, DC, then either Ralf or JPM. Probably Ralf. JPM's still a bit untamed.

My guesstimate:
1. Michael Schumacher
2. Giancarlo Fisichella (he's very underrated & I have a weird feeling Jordan will rock this year)
3. Rubens Barrichello (another weird feeling, but I think he'll take two races this year)
4. Juan Pablo Montoya (I think Montoya's a winner, but the Williams will have a number of failures again)
5. David Coulthard (still in the game & very keen not to be shown up by the kid)
6. Ralf Schumacher (same comments as Montoya, but not as many wins)

I'll say it again...the sleeper is gonna be Heidfeld. Don't forget Sauber were better than everyone except "Royal Three" last year. Nick is motivated being passed over by Ron Dennis in favor of Raikkonen

I also bet on M Schumacher.
It will be the biggest surprise in the History if he did not win Championship this year.
I think Juan Pablo Montoya should be the second, either Ralf Schumacher or David Coulthard should be third if no surprise.

odds given on F1 championships are useless. 5:15 - what is the point of betting on those odds for such a long season. You will make more money leaving it in the bank.
The best bet would probably getting a 1 -2 combination of MS and RB and Ferrari constructors of course.

Will anyone bet against MS now? The Ferrari F2002 beat the Fiorano lap record on its first day of running and has since lowered it again Its proving very reliable too, this season is looking good!

Tifosi Red-
Judging from your screen name I see your joy at the prospect of another year dominated by The Scuderia. Personally although I relish a bit less predictability I see the same result. At least with the resurgence of Williams there is a bit of competition, unlike the late 80's/early 90's when it was a question of Senna. Senna, Senna or Prost. So now it could be Schumey Sr., Montoya, and maybe (just maybe) the occasional DC.
