I know this is a Honda forum, but get that talk out of here!!! Dealing with Enjoying the quirks of a rotary is part of the experience.

This is exactly what I'd do with an FD.

Also, remember the plastic parts, door handles, and interior are very fragile on the FD chassis. roll the window down every time you get in and use the door frame to close the door and don't let passengers use the door hand to pull.. it'll crack

Man I'm not sure. K swapping can make an objectively better car but IMO not a subjectively better FD. Maintaining the original spirit of any car is important to me, even if I want to slap a lot of parts on it.

And yes - I gave my wife a long list of rules for how to get in/out of the car. She was thrilled.Haha.

if you stick with the 13b you should watch the Caffine and gasoline video series on driving two FD's to all 48 states.

Also im upset Mazda still offers a brand new engine at the parts counter and Honda doesn't... I know a local guy who has a 40k mile Rx7 and a spare motor new in the crate for if he ever needs it

Thankfully I've been immersing myself in FD content for years. Agree that Gears & Gasoline is a great source - plus those guys have solid production value as well. I always have liked the cars but never considered seriously owning one because so many of them are piles. Luckily for me lots of things lined up and I managed to wrestle this one out of the hands of a friend of a friend.

Funny you mention the new REWs, I've been considering picking one up as a nice insurance policy. They're less available than they used to be and increasing in price.....just like what happened to S2k engines a few years ago. Ugh.

I’m personally glad you’re staying rotary. They’re so neat.

my financial situation has evolved over the past few years and im half tempted to just place an order for a new Spoon Sports short block now while I can because yolo. I'll never sell my car and I'm slowly refreshing everything after 100k miles to oem+

Buy it now, they've already increased in price once in the last ~12 months!
