Looks great man. Glad to see an F powered car having some success in Club TR. Looks like a super fun class but really needs a K series, full aero, and some weight reduction to be top of the class.
Idk where your alignment is at but corner entry stability is why I like to run on the high side of rear toe specs. Not to open up that debate and if you don't like it, that's fine. I've tried low side of the spectrum and the behavior that I really didn't like from it was instability on braking and corner entry through brake release. I felt like braking had to be done in a straight line and any blending required a really deft touch. I run .4ish degrees total on my AP2 and I can be pretty hamfisted on entry. More front sway can help too but will obviously impact other behaviors.
Love reading those track reports, thanks for sharing!
Did you feel any difference up front by replacing the AP2 with the CR Lip (just curious)?
I can't tell you for sure if it has, but it is supposed to help with some downforce and drag with the dive planes that direct air around the tires. This lip needs to be replaced though. I ran over some dead animal a few weeks ago and it broke a mounting bracket. If you notice, the lip is sagging very low.

I'm glad you've mentioned that. I love listening to suggestions. I actually don't really know where my alignment sits currently. I haven't bothered since I have old busted bushings and can never get what I want at the alignment rack. This coming winter I'm planning on doing spherical all around and really dialing in those settings. I'll keep in mind your suggestion, I'm sure its in line with what others would suggest as well.

It's been up and down since the end of April, with a 2 day event at NYST on both directions with S2KTAKEOVER only a week and a half after the Glen. The car performed flawlessly again. It was a this event that I truly felt at home driving the car at the limit. If I can recall, I think I ran a 1:35.5 on day one(counterclockwise) and a 1:35.9 on day two(clockwise) which is nearly 2 seconds faster than last year on the same tire. On both days I came 2nd overall by a few tenths only to Ricardo Soares in his NASA TT5 S2000, who holds a number of track records on the NE.

Shortly after I decided to finally be an adult about time attack and grab myself an AIM Solo2 to help me find more time on the track. At the following event in NJMP I put it to the test. The Solo2 help me get down to a 1:31.2, and be consistently on that range, which is about 8 tenths faster than what I've ran here even with cycled out tires and a massive headwind. Again, the car ran flawlessly, but I have to confess that I started getting overconfident behind the wheel; from multiple off-tracks, to a money-shift from 4th-3rd and a few near spins. This resulted in an eventual ejecta-seato lip and a cracked titanium Tomei test pipe
Trying to keep the car clean while running hard is an endless battle, so this summer I'm taking a break from track. I just wanna admire the car when its clean for a least a month or two. The trunk got paint matched about a week ago and the replacement OEM CR lip its on the process. The next order of things is to pop the valve cover and inspect the valve retainers. Maybe a compression test would be a smart thing to do, although I still ran half of the remaining day and even got the personal best after the mis-shift.

My friend who painted the trunk and lip was a slammed and couldn't do the install for me. Luckily, the bumper had the marks to drill the mounting holes for the CR lip. Not a hard install.

Got around installing this Braille battery that I was gifted last year. It weighs 15lbs, a little lighter than the OEM 27lb one that I’ve been running.
The next order of this is cut some material off this hood and hopefully cut down some weight off it. I’ll be happy if I can get it down to the same weight as the aluminum OEM hood.
Spent a couple of hours the other day shaving off some unnecessary weight off the front of the car.
Airpump system -9.1lb
Windshield wipers and motors -5.9lb
Hood Structure -3.7lb
I had the air pump delete simulator laying around for over a year. I was able to install it and seems to be working fine. Next up, will be the passenger airbag removal, and depending how much the plastics behind the cabin weight, those might go too.
Lately I’ve been drooling over the aero profile of this RG-O race car. Flows well with stock body. I don’t think I’d want to wait the 18 months it takes to order
