Small update with one of the key upgrades planned for next year. Right now I’m contemplating how I’m going to get this thing properly tuned for my car’s setup, since out of the box this LSD is known to be too tight and induce understeer that often require setup overhaul.

Unless you want to do your own tuning, contact ShaftWorks. They tuned mine and are known as the experts. TBH, I'm still getting used to driving mine with the Giken. The car's behavior is much more dependent on the throttle position. I think at higher speeds, I quite like it. At lower speeds, it's locking pretty aggressively and pushing the front under throttle unless I shock the rear to rotate out. I don't think the difference is as simple as to say the diff makes the car understeer though. The balance just seems more dynamic with throttle behavior and pushing the front end with throttle becomes easier/more likely.

Thanks for that. This is definitely the one thing that I would like to get right from the go, so Shaftworks is upthere on my options.

Went back to Watkins Glen a few days ago. The car and conditions felt better but my driving wasn't up to task. I was only able to match my time from the spring. I also swapped to AP2 intake retainers to prevent failure from the miss shift back in June.

This past weekend I started developing a vibration under acceleration that is commonly regarded to be related to the driveshaft cup wear.

This winter I took care of some maintenance items.
-EVS axle spacer
-Blox 20mm steering rack spacer
-injen intake filter

I also switched to Nankangs CR-S tires ahead of a trackday at Palmer Motorsport Park in hopes to drop some lap time, but unfortunately as I came to find out at the event, I am required to have HANS device to be in the time attack group. I ran in the intermediate group which was plague with traffic, I couldn't even get the tires up to temperature. The next thing on my list naturally is install a roll bar and harnesses, but in the meantime I came across my dream wing...

Currently in the middle of bolting down this EVS race roll bar. It has every option clicked on it, mainly because of availability.

Taking out the interior was very easy, and hammered out most of the sound deadening while I was there. The struggle is cutting enough metal under the wheel well to make myself room to insert the backing plates.

Will post results once done

It’s a Vortex Type 7 1500mm by RG-O. The wing deck is from Vortex and RG-O makes the uprights and base that bolts into the CR trunk. If you are local, throw me an offer and come get the CR wing lol
