Busy weekend working on the car. We found out the bushing set was missing the camber bushing for the LCA. I just ordered new control arms to get it done with, so it will take a fews days for the car to be back on the road.
We installed Spoon Rigid Collars and replaced the torn differential mounts in the meantime.
We put the car back together just in time to make it to the dealer and get an alignment and get on the road and make the S2kTakeover event at NJMP.
list goes as follow:
Rigid Collars
Eccentric bolts, cam and locking nuts at every point of alignment
New front LCA
New outer and inner tierods and adjustable swaybar endlinks
Hawk HP+ pads & ATE200 fluid
Stock Exhaust
FP Sport Ohlins 13/11k
Differential mount bushings
The car now sits at 13.5 inch ride height due to an issue with Ohlins that I will discuss in another post.
-2.2 F & -2.4 R Camber with .15 degrees of toe per corner.
Not sure if you specified that camber and/or if the car sees much DD use, but for track/auto-x use this car requires quite a bit more camber. You need at least -3.0 camber front and rear to really make the most use out of the tires. At -3.3 my tire wear and a pyrometer says that I still need more camber. I know guys at the track running -3.5 to -3.7.
Also, I see rubber brake lines - not sure how old your current lines are, but definitely consider replacing those. They can and have failed at the crimps in the past with catastrophic results (see Kale #57).
Other than that, looks good - appreciated you keeping me entertained with an updated build thread.

You’re right on man, but I'm maxed out on camber because the car sits an inch too high off where I’d like to be. Im currently trying to solve an issue when we can’t go any lower at the rear unless we take preload off. We also suspect we damaged the threads inside the cups because we can’t turn the shock bodies neither up or down.
Im aware that off the shelf Ohlins have this limitation, hence I went with this custom kit. There seemed to be a miscommunication because SBG still wants me to get their lowering cup even though I was clear about where I wanted to ride and they didn’t suggest them before.
I had an awesome experience with the guys of S2kTakeover and North East Track Club. For being my first event, I have to say that I am hooked!
The car drove fantastic as well! I was cautious at first being that I’m squared with stock swaybars, but no! The Ohlins gave me a lot of confident, and for my skill level, the car has excellent off throttle rotation.
The pads are my weakest point right now. I was able to fade them, as well as the tires do get a little greasy when I start pushing hard.
All said, I’m confident that this is a competent car for the class that I want to compete in. Just have to get there and start timing myself against these guys!
