Hey Mark, sorry to see this happen to you man. Like others have said at least your ok, I still cant believe this is your first spin ever. I dont know if you recall when we spoke at Sonoma about the re71r feeling loose hard to find the limit. Like I had said when they let go they slip out from under you quick. Not as progressively as the rs3 would. I hope you can sort everything out and get her back on the track your a beast behind the wheel

Thanks guys. I share because I'm here to learn like everyone else.

Here's 2 laps from the time attack session which was before the last time I went out and ended up crashing. No personal best, just consistent 1:45's. I know I can do better, but I've lost a lot of confidence at turn 6. I looked at my data and noticed I'm braking way earlier than I used to in the past.

This all sounds so familair - the sliding and being in control, but is also the same thing I fear - hitting that point where it snaps back so abruptly. Glad to see you're ok!

holy crap... glad you're alright.

I guess those are the risks we take when tracking our cars. Like everyone else has said, learn from this and get back out there.
Be glad you were able to walk away from that accident.

Sorry to hear about this man, I really think you are still great driver. Not really sure what happened here but I hope you come back bigger and better than ever. The main thing is not having any frame damage. The cosmetic stuff can be repaired. Best of luck to you !!

Sorry to hear, but seems like you have the right mindset on the situation. Sending positive vibes your way, don't let the situation keep you down and out. Glad YOU are ok!

33-34 psi. It was a very hot day for Laguna. Temps were in the mid 90's and track surface temp in the morning was 110-115 so I'm sure it was much hotter in the afternoon.

These tires like to spike in temp. With those outside temps you couldve been much higher than that. Plus the narrow width of these tires and the 10" rim leaves not much room for mistakes. Id like to try those trofeos out

I didn't know you had a build thread! I've always been a fan of your car and how you drive at the track. Sorry to hear about your wreck but I just can't wait too see the car back! It's going to be great! My friend also had a similar spin at that same turn, everything exactly the same. Turns out that one of his rear top hats was cracked.
