Another quick update from this week and weekend with crappy pics...
Got my moddiction wide angle side mirrors. This should make a huge improvement on rear visibility.
I also recieved my "jdm" clear headlight lenses from Rick's.
I use a head gun to soften and heat the headlight sealant. I find it to be a more efficient way of opening up any headlights with less risk of melting brackets and lenses.
Before and After...
Mocked up with the bumper resting on.
Saturday the SHG crew stopped by to hang and watch the Rolex. We drank a few and did a bit of work here and there.
I disassembled all the calipers in preparation for rebuilding and paint/coating.
Also sized up and made my template for the main hoop of the roll bar...
Next I should be ordering my DOM tubing and will start to cut the base plates out...

What a great build!! I remember SHG build threads on Honda-tech back in the day, always super clean, with great attention to detail, and great photos that just make you want to go to your garage on work on your own car !!
with that being said, the headlights came out great, I thought about doing that since its way cheaper than jdm headlights obviously but I gotta say I was nervous to take headlight apart...of course you made it look easy...makes sense to use a heat gun though versus an oven which is what I always seem to see people suggest...
and the wheels are $$, i'd get a set myself but my buddy has black ones on his ap1 here and I don't wanna jock him lol but maybe I can do silver...can't wait to see them mounted!
