So...how bad is the 101 north traffic in the morning around here?

You might want to narrow down the area of 101N you are talking about. You're looking at Gilroy to SF in the bay. It probably sucks in any case.

from what i understand it sucks.
went to krispy kreme in Mountain View during my break in the morning

You aren't really travelling that far of a distance, so it shouldn't be too bad. 280 however might be a better option.

it'll probably take you around 20-30 mins. traffic gets backed up from 92 to millbrae. the lanes tend to get narrower in that area so people freak out and slow down.

Yeah it gets pretty bad in the mornings, why not just come into work much later, say around 11AM? or really early 6AMish? Makes things a lot easier.

depends what is your exit and what time are you commuting, i've made it in 10 minutes on 280,
