AAS Autocross - Atwater 3/29, 3/30 --> LET'S GO!
I'm going... anyone else interested? It would be kind of cool to see a bunch of S2000s there. I'm going to be trailering out and doing both days so I'll put out the EZ-up and the chairs if we get a decent group.
Some highlights:
-VERY VERY fast autocrosses - this club caters to american iron so they typically have very wide and very fast autocrosses
-5 runs
-huge flat grippy site
-well run events
-no membership required
-no novice class, but they do have a street tire class
-you can run only 1 day; I usually run both days and stay in the town
-you get $$$ if you place over the season*
-you get a comfy jacket if you win your class over the season*
-Atwater is ~130 miles from the South Bay - so its a bit of a drive, but a caravan could be fun

* odds of winning are very low as Mr. Andy McKee really likes running the AAS events.

I just emailed them to ask about how to get registered for the event next Saturday. I'd love to go!
I assume it's $30 for each day, is that right?
If I'm in, a caravan sounds perfect for Friday afternoon/night.

Registration is on site. There is no pre-registration for AAS.
The entry fee is per day. So 30 bucks per day. I heard a rumor that they raised the entry to 35 - but so far that's just a rumor.
I plan to drive up early Saturday morning. Save some $$ by not staying there on Friday. Caravaning with me will be "not fun" since I'm trailering...

If you don't feel like undoing those mods then:
You are legal for OSP. You are probably legal for SM2. You may be legal for ASP.
You are not legal for the street tire class with the A032R tires.
If you're not planning on running for the season you can just put "Fun Run" in the class section of your card.

I'll be going to the Mazda Revitup event this Saturday, but I'm interested in the Sunday session. Can I tech the car myself?
