Alarm Install
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a shop that can correctly install an alarm for the car, preferably in the SF area. I've been searching and have been quoted in the $500 to $600 range by two shops. I was hoping you guys would have some recommendations before I continue searching hopelessly. Thanks a bunch!

Ever heard a car alarm go off? Ever noticed anyone do anything (but complain!) about it? Me neither.
Our cars are stolen weekly off the street and apartment/campus parking lots. Even with alarms. Thieves will follow a car and see where it parks. One that is identified the rest is easy. Heck good thieves will bring a flatbed if they really want a car. I can't recall one stolen from a locked residential garage, however.
If your car looks like your avatar it's a theft magnet for all the high school fast and furious boys vs an OEM model. An alarm will not protect if from someone who wants. They can pull wheels etc off it as she sits. You need physical security.

Ask for John at City Car Radio located in San Francisco(Van Ness and Pacific Ave). Lowered car friendly. They do a lot of custom work and had their work shown at SEMA Vegas. Also, expert at car alarms since they work on a lot and maintain local CBS News vans equipped with million dollar radio broadcast equipment as well as multi-million dollar military vehicles. They are are authorized dealer to many high end audio brands and without a doubt replace any defective parts and have lifetime install warranty. Very easy to work with in terms of communication and your car's goal. My friends and I been going to them since the late 90's for custom audio and alarm systems. I'll be going there soon, they still have to install my Focal 3-way component speakers for my AP2.
