Any Owners from Palo Alto/Stanford?
Hello All,
My car has gotten very (VERY) dirty and I've nowhere to wash it (I live on Stanford campus). Is there anyone in Palo Alto that would be willing to let me come over and use your garden hose (I have my own car wash gear)? Or, does anyone know of a place I can get access to a hose near here? Thanks in advance.
Dave

I run into the same predicament here in Berkeley. What I did was find on of those DIY places. I pay like 2 dollars for 3 minutes worth of time on the machine.
- I bring my own buckets and soap and just use the machine for presoak and water.
- Fill up two buckets worth of water. One for wash and one for rinse.
- Hand wash the car, rinse it. Put in another buck if i need more water to rinse.
- Back the car out.
- Clay bar the car while it's still wet.
- Pull the car back in and rinse again.
- Back out and dry it using microfibers that i bring.
- Z5, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6
- 5PM. day's over. go home and realize I didn't do any hw.

if you want to you can come use the hose in my apartment complex. It's a bit of a drive though - all the way to 101 and 92 hwy.
For obvious reason, I don't put my phone here. PM me if you want to drive all that way to wash your car.

There's a coin-op wash in Mountain View on Shoreline & Sterlin ( I think that's the name) It's across the street (kitty corner) from the Safeway on Shoreline Blvd. If you're coming from El Camino real toward 101, it will be on the right side of the street.

boylondon,
I use a tap/hose to wash my car outside of my apartment here on the Stanford Campus. (I live at EV)
Drop by on maybe a Saturday or Sunday morning and we can exchange detailing tips.
