the clutch slave valve does a number of very benefital things for the car. It reduces drive train shock, which means clutch is more likely to go than diff, CV etc.

BUT most importantly it also is a component to overrev protection. With the clutch delay valve in place a have precious extended time before the clutch engages to realize that you just put it in the wrong gear and remove it before the clutch fully engages and overrevs your engine.

By removing the clutch delay valve you are taking out something that has minimal performance impact and instead significantly increases the possibility of overrev damage. Is the potential for $6K in engine damage worth slightly faster clutch engagement?

For most people this is a foolish mod. It buys them little and exposes them to excess risk.
