Default RX7 clutch

a mate has just had his clutch done and he said the diff had to come down to remove the g/box.

anyone have experience with the RX7's, and why you'd need to drop the diff? diff at back, gearbox is at front - with a propshaft connecting the two...

maybe the propshaft isn't easily removeable without dropping off the diff first. may need to come out of some kind of housing and not just unbolted ??

And Clive would answer that question. Ok any rear wheel drive car same question I'd guess at siezed UJ's The diff can drop from the cradle easier than trying to free a UJ.
