Default Bay Area Service Locations.....

anyone know of any good honda service locations for regular scheduled maintenance?
also, how often do we need to service our cars? my lights came on at around 7500 miles.
should we just follow the directions on the manual and turn the light off or get the car
serviced?

thanks for any valuable advice out there........

i'd suggest getting the car serviced every three months (or more frequently depending upon mileage - see the manual for info).
i'm a big fan of Larry Hopkins Honda - but you might want to check out Josh's DB.

The general consensus is that the top three service departments in the south bay are (in no particular order):

Larry Hopkins Honda
Los Gatos Honda
Menlo Honda

I do my own oil changes every 3K miles and I get my car serviced at Menlo Honda every 7500 miles. They do all of the maintenance I can't or don't want to do.

Or if you don't want to go to the dealer... you can try Precision Honda in Pleasanton. EXCELLENT service. Very reasonable rates and they always give you a free loaner car. My family has been taking their Accords, Civics, and NSX there since 1985. Ask for Bob.

IMHO, anything that isn't a warranty fix should be done by yourself... it is cool to learn what makes the S2000 tick!

I'm taking my car to Larry Hopkins Honda on monday. The tech that I talked to for the diagnostic check was fairly knowledgable... even suggested I ride along with him while he did the diagnosis

If you don't want to go to Honda dealer, you can try Foriegn Affairs.
I really like their service.

I was happy to see someone else post Foreign Affair. They specialize in Honda/Acura - service is top notch and pricing is better than a dealer. As a bonus they wash your car with any service and they do a nice job. The only bummer is they are not open on weekends. Great place overall if you are in the south bay.
