I don't think it's the axles or the CV. Does the car vibrate due to the noise?

My brother in law said the same thing, he's telling me it's the springs. I have after market Tein Type H springs and ever since then,I have been having problems. It all started with small noises, then now a thump, thunp. I'm going to replace the springs to oem and see if that would work.

Nice job on the video....would be great to tape the camera shooting backwards on the track (like Nascars =) )
I think the easiest way to check is to put the back of the car on some quality jack stands, then run the engine in first gear. You can trace where the noise is, but just be careful. Since the car will be stationary, if it still make the ping pong noise, it won't be from the suspension.
I agree that sound isn't from the diff though, maybe something that got stuck to your axle.

it doesnt sound like a diff problem. it seems like when the exhaust moves or vibrates, the noise appears. did you try shifting around the exhaust? see if the noise happens when you shift the exhaust a little. or check to see if the exhaust is hitting anything? also if you think its the springs. take off the tires and check to see if any bolts are loose. or check the top pillowmounts to see if the 2 14mm's are loose.
its hard to say by this video. i could totally be wrong. but the noise looks like it happens when the exhaust is moving.

Kev,
You'd be able to tell if it is the diff when you because if teeth are missing your car would kinda jerk when that tooth from the pinion lines up w/ the one from the ring (or vice versa) even in reverse.
Did you tighten the lock nut on the strut after you installed the springs?

HEY Kevin. I know what it is!!!!
80% sure it's the springs. You put them on upside down or swapped the front with the rear's! Take a GOOD look at them!!
