I've actually been getting serious about broadband at home. My biggest beef is I can't justify $40 to $50 per month once all the introductory offers expire.
I have Direct TV, so I can't do AT & T braodband.
Any suggestions for service in the $30/month range?
TIA,
Jimbo

I've never dropped below 512kbps and have had it as high as 3.5mbps at times. Upload sucks at 112kb, but it's all about the d/l that i'm worried about.
Check out http://www.dslreports.com. They offer some great advice and also you can test your speed there.

Good thing you are whining now. You won't get a lot of sympathy next week after bankruptcy court shuts down all the @Home customers!!
Oh, and if you are looking for satellite based Internet, get StarBand, not DirecPC. Much better!!
