Going back to stock, in "potential" preparation for the sale of my 2002. I swapped diffs (my stock '02 diff with another member's 4.44s '02) in Jan of 2004. At the time he was also going back to stock in order to sell his car. I did the install/de-install myself with the help of xviper's post: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85687 No problems with either operation.

The gears have been good to me, no complaints, no noise, no problems, and a noticeable difference in the drive. At the time of the swap I did get a yellow box, but never installed it, thus putting on an additional 10% mileage on the odo over the year and a half I drove on them... (I haven't driven my car for approximately 1 year) I'm mostly back to stock now except for the diff. Let me know if you're interested, pm me with any questions, or offers. Yo. Long time no see!

Long story short: Bought a condo last summer, meant to sell car at that time (spring/summer 05), waited, waited, got it ready to go except for the diff, waited...waited, didn't even drive it, 14 months later (today) realized I should probably get going on it, or at least get it to a state where I could let it go if I absolutely had to.

Walking past the S in the garage and not driving it for that long was something of self inflicted torture to get me to move on it. (although so was paying insurance on a car I didnt drive...) I drove it earlier this week and now I want to keep it (forgot how much I liked driving it), but I'm trying to go through with the original plan for now.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to make sense, but that's the story...haha
