I will be doing my research on those. Money is a little tight so I will be doing them myself. It should be a great learning experience.

If money is tight, just ask someone to help you out with the valve adjustment(to make sure its done right). Someone in the Bay Area will help you out, I know they did with me when I asked about a problem I had and I'm over in Sacramento.

^ what he said! All good peeps on here!
Just and idea to try, I had the random misfire nonsense for a minute... it wasn't until the car actually ran for a little bit before the random turned into a specific cylinder. (don't know why). If you suspect a coil pack you can try the unplug one at a time trick to see if pulling the coil changes the idle. If you unplug it and the idle gets lumpy the coil is probably fine. If everything checks out with the coilpacks, then you can worry about the valve adjust.

Well, that is the weird thing. The car didn't idle weird at all. I didn't notice any change on the car when I noticed the cel. The car even pulled the same.

could just be tight valves then... couldn't hurt to do the valve adjust anyways if it has yet to be done.

Yeah, I'm going to gather up the stuff I need for it then I'm going to do the valve adjustment.

Had a similar issue (car threw multiple CEL codes, but it did idle noticeably worse) and the folks over at Blacktrax diagnosed it to be bad valve guides.

just be careful, things like valve guide problems can be overlooked unless you know what you are looking for... and any oversight can be costly down the road. (ie, valve into motor)
