Wassup everyone! I need some major help. My car has been drinking too much fuel! I get about 180 miles until my light flashes (and SilverSurfer's car is SC'ed and it gets the same mileage). There is no fuel leak (no fuel stench in the garage) and my tires are inflated to spec. I brought it to Honda and they said that the car was not running rich. Any ideas from my Bay Area brethen? I will soon not be able to afford my car because of this horrible mileage. Help!!!!!!

Don't drive so FAST!! Seriously, I was getting about 250-260 per tank before SC and now I am getting about 200-210. I am always vtecing and do like to be above 5k. By the way I filled up 3 times yesterday. Well 2 full tanks and 1-6 gallon fillup.

Wow, 3 times! Now you are truly the SaV(age). But Keith, you gotta trip though, I get the same mileage driving like an old lady (under 4K) as I drive like a mad man. I figured out that each bar on my fuel gauge is like 10 miles now. This is the only problem (I have the rattles, but I don't care) that is making me want to get another car. Oh yeah, do you know of any good S2K mechanics? I think I'll go chat with them. Thanks. Latez!

Well, I have about 1500 miles on my s2k, and I get about 190-200 miles before my light goes on - which is ~10 gallon fill up. Are you driving over bad roads or up a lot of hills? Before I got my S2k, I could get about 17 mpg in my mustang around San Jose, and about 12 mpg around Berkeley.

Well when you have to follow davepk you use ALOT OF GAS!! I would call Menlo Honda and talk to Chuck. He is a good guy and will take care of you. Marcus has taken his car there.

Cliff, I get about 180-225 per tank before the fuel light comes on. Really depends upon how and where I drive. Commuting is the pits, get like 18mpg and the driving is no fun. I'd guess that all the short trips in the City with hills and all doesn't help. Hope you check it out anyways with a reputable dealer service place though. Good luck.

Bringing in my bad boy S to Menlo Honda on Tuesday (thanks Keith!). Chuck told me that Honda instructed him to check my valves . I really hope there is no problem. If so, I hope the warranty will cover it. To add the cherry on top, I'm getting the clutch and 2nd gear done(Hooray!!!! Free stuff!!!!). I might do the seat belt, too; but after hearing about all the horror stories (f*cked up interior, more rattles) I might not. Oh yeah, should I take off all my aftermarket parts (namely the X-Brace, K&N Filter, and Feels front spoiler)? I plan to leave the exhaust on (too much drama putting the original back on). Thanks guys! Lastly, when are we gonna rip up the asphalt again ? Latez!
