Default Recommendations for Alignment Shop?

Looking for a place in the penninsula that will do it right and allow me to sit in the car while they do it.

Anyone have any alignment spec suggestions?

There is a great place over here in Santa Cruz, called "Straight Forward"

I doubt you will want to make the drive, but all they do is alignments, and you will leave with your s2k dialed in.

Also, they don't recomend you sit in the car becuase your movement can throw things off a bit. Instead they prefer to put in buckets filled w/ sand to replicate your weight.

I would NOT reccomend Custom Alignment in Mt. View, in my experience they are crooks. They tell you one price, get the car on the rack, tell you another price, try to sell you shims for $$$$ then give you the car back, out of alignment, charge you and don't give you a print out. Bad business.

I had mine done at straight forward as well. they do a good job...here are the specs from my alignment

Front Left Front Right
Camber Left Min -1.00 Right Min -1.00
Left Max 0.00 Right Max 0.00
Left Nominal -0.50 Right Nominal -0.50
Left ACTUAL -0.8 Right ACTUAL -0.9

Caster Left Min 5.25 Right Min 5.25
Left Max 6.75 Right Max 6.75
Left Nominal 6.00 Right Nominal 6.00
Left ACTUAL 5.9 Right ACTUAL 6.7

Toe Left Min -0.04" Rigth Min -0.04"
Left Max 0.04" Right Max 0.04"
Left Nominal 0.00" Right Nominal 0.00"
Left ACTUAL -0.02" Rigth ACTUAL -0.01"

SAI Left ACTUAL 10.7 Right ACTUAL 10.1
INCL ANGLE Left 9.9 Right 9.2

Rear Left Rear Right
Camber Left Min -2.00 Right Min -2.00
Left Max -1.00 Right Max -1.00
Left Nominal -1.50 Right Nominal -1.50
Left ACTUAL -1.6 Right ACTUAL -1.6

Toe Left Min 0.08" Right Min 0.08"
Left Max 0.16" Right Max 0.16"
Left Nominal 0.12" Right Nominal 0.12"
Left ACTUAL 0.09" Right ACTUAL 0.10"

TOTAL TOE
Min 0.16"
Max 0.32"
Nominal 0.24"
ACTUAL 0.19"

THRUST ANGLE -0.02

All figures referenced in degrees except toe, toe is in inches. They also, put 150lbs of weight in the drivers seat and used more caster on the right front to compensate for the crown in the road. All I know is my car drives straight

do a search on alignment and you will find many other threads.
