Default Soviet's Garage | S2000 Services

Hi guys.

My name is Jason and I'm located in Milpitas at the moment. I'm a software engineer by trade but I have grown quite fond of wrenching on Honda S2000s. I'm sort of crazy and have an AP1 daily as well as an AP1 track car. I'm a really big fan of DIY so I've acquired a plethora of tools and experience for working with the Honda S2000. I even upload POV DIY tutorials of the work I do on my youtube channel.

As a full time employee I know how difficult it can be to have work done on your car with most shops only open Monday through Friday 9-5.
I would like to offer services that are flexibly scheduled (week nights and weekends) and affordable for the South/East bay crew.

I have most of my experience in routine maintenance like
  • Fluid Changes (Differential, Transmission, Motor, Brake, Clutch)
  • Valve Adjustments
  • Cabin Air Filters
  • Spark Plugs
  • Wheel Bearings
  • Brakes
  • IACV Cleaning
  • Valve Retainer Inspection
  • Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement

But my S2000s have already put me through a lot and I also know how to do the following
  • Valve Retainer Upgrade
  • Clutch Replacement
  • Starter Replacement
  • Knock Sensor Replacement
  • Alternator Replacement
  • Header Replacement
  • AC Compressor Replacement
  • Rear Diff Mounts Replacement
  • Compression Test
  • Driveshaft Half Spacer Install
  • Axle Bucket Swap
  • Exhaust Install
  • Poly Swaybar Bushing Lubrication
  • Stainless Steel Brake Line Install
  • Coilover Install
  • Throttle Body Replacement
  • Oil Pan Replacement
  • Shifter Re-Grease
  • Swaybar Bushing Replacement
  • Clutch Slave Cylinder Replacement
  • Trunk Latch Replacement
  • TCT Replacement
  • Intake Install
  • Valve Cover Gasket Replacement
  • Spark Plug Seal Replacement
  • PCV Replacement
  • Serpentine Belt Replacement
  • Vtec Solenoid Gasket Replacement
  • Rear Differential Collar Install
  • Rear Swaybar Install
  • Rigid Collars Install

I'm probably forgetting several things. The point is I've taken apart most of the car.

I'm also OK at trouble shooting and have run into most common S2000 issues.

If you're interested in having work done on your car please drop me a PM or reply to this thread with some contact information.

Just a note for fluid changes. I currently stock the following fluids/parts.
  • OEM Crush Washers
  • OEM Honda Oil Filters
  • Castrol Edge Titanium 10w-30
  • Honda MTF
  • Mobil1 75w-90 Diff Fluid

I would prefer to do work in my garage since I have a ton of tools but it would depend on the job. I'm in Hayward often so I could make the trip to Oakland on a weekend easily.

Of course. I'm very close. Traveling for valve adjustments might actually be best since the motor has to be under ~100F.

The clutch job is a big job. I may new some more practice before I do it for someone else just to ensure that I am proficient enough. Fortunately I will be swapping out my Exedy OEM replacement soon for an OEM friction disc as it is known to fail prematurely. Let me know when you are ready and we can talk about it.

Hi Jeff, it looks like you are a new member here so you won't be able to send private messages until the 2 week grace period has passed. I saw you commented on one of my youtube videos so I will try to reach you via private message there!

Wanted to give Jason a quick thanks for doing some work on my S2000 this past Saturday. He did a compression test, swapped my stock rear sway bar for an AP2 piece and installed differentail collars. Cool dude and did the work in a timely manner. Great pricing too. Very knowledgeable, and I highly recommend others to give him a call if you need some work done.
