I've had my beautiful car for almost 4 months now and with today's changes in the weather it looks like I am soon going to have to drive it in the rain for the first time. From snippets I've picked up here and there I understand that the S2ks may not be the best at handling wet roads.
Does anyone have any good tips driving this car in a downpour...?

The S2000 isn't the best car for wet driving, but just be careful and you'll be fine. Keep it out of VTEC, change gears and take turns smoothly, and you won't have any problems.
I commute from San Jose to Scotts Valley over highway 17, and drove my S2000 all last winter on S-02's. This winter, I'm on Kumho Ecsta Supras. I take it easy and haven't had any problems.
Just this morning, a car flipped over on the 17, which caused a big rig to swerve into my lane...I had to brake suddenly and swerve to avoid the big rig, and was able to do so successfully. The main thing is you just have to be careful and resist the urge to drive the car hard.

U guys aint kiddin! This car sucks in the rain. (Mayybe it has something to do with my tires being kinda low) The car pitched it self sideways when i barely gave ot gas on a 24mph turn. Damn looks like no V-tec for the next couple of months. :-( Oh maybe some new tires will fix it.

Weird,
I drove on average 100 miles every weekend through the rainy season on the stock S02s and never had a problem.
I do tend to drive slower and less agressive when it rains, but I don't understand why so many people say the S02's are horrible in the wet.

Folks have told me S03's as replacement, just drive easy and you should be fine. Right after 1st rains is the worst and for the most part those have passed (rained a bit yesterday night i think)
