Default Spoon Motor

Unfortunately a buddy of mine blew up his F22. He installed a new oil cooler, but the hoses were mounted ass backwards. I've suggested a new spoon f20, but not sure as to what the cost is or if it's worth it.

any suggestions or thoughts? I'm thinking he should do the stroker kit with the 2.2 internals he has now, but why not go for the gusto and get a better motor right?

Stroker kit for 2.4L?
Spoon engine = OEM engine unless you get those stroked ones.
