Some crazy boot licking goin on in here... Its perfectly ok to rape kill and steal, just dont do it with a loud exhaust.
Did the OP give it some gass say around 3am on a freeway where he was the only car on the road? Then yes cop is a dick. Did OP do a burnout through a school zone with children, if so, cop was justified.

This whole thread spawned up my own experience recently. I was pulled over for speeding, but the cop let me go with a fix it ticket for no front plate. However, he did do a walkaround, and noticed my invidia q300, and said that he could write a fix it for my exhaust but didnt. Is the q300 under the CA decibel limit? I'm just curious, cause I'm nervous AF right now driving around especially when a cop is following me around with my pipes hanging super low and obvious on the back.

It also prohibits the operation of a passenger vehicle (other than a motorcycle), or a truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 6,000 pounds, that has an exhaust noise level greater than 95 decibels, when tested under specified conditions.
