Me and a friend, after a particularly enlightening experience:
Me: I've discovered that the embers of a fire are much hotter than the flames themselves.
Friend: Duh, I could've told you that.
Me: Well, I'm a self-discovery kind of guy.
Friend: Yeah, I self-discovered that myself as well.
