Default Tire Mounting And Balancing In The East Bay?

Could anyone recommend a good tire mounting and balancing shop, preferably in the Oakland area?

Thank you!

I actually had mine done at Big O Tires on Park in Alameda a couple years ago. I had TireRack drop ship my SO2s there and they mounted and balanced. I think they did a good job with no damage--I watched the whole time because I was too paranoid to leave my car.

You might want to get a written estimate first.

They said next time to just tell them how much TireRack cost and they would pricematch and order directly. If you try this: 1) make sure they get the right tires (there are specific SO2s made for the S2000), and 2) factor in sales tax (TireRack ships from Nevada so no sales tax.)

If you come up with something else that works for you, please post here. I am due for new tires so I will be going through the same process.

Motorsport Techniques in Hayward. Ask for Jack and tell him Kit sent you, it's usually like $15 or $16 a tire and they do a great job.

Although it sounds weird, I always take my cars to Costco for tires. If Costco doesn't carry the tires I want, I buy the tires online and then just bring them to the auto center at Costco... it's usually about $7 for each tire to mount and balance them. I've never had a problem with them - and I always watch, too, when possible... because I'm also paranoid to leave my car alone.

Oh yeah - you have to be a member (or go with a member) in order for them to do the work for you.
