Default WTB: E46 M3

So I totaled my car last Thursday and am now in the market for something new. Since everyone on this board is a great resource, I'm reaching out to you guys now.

I'm looking for an E46 M3 for < $35K (of course the less mileage the better). Can you guys please point me to any resources you guys have; be it contacts, dealers, or forums ?

Since I don't drive on the weekdays, I prefer it to be SMG so that my mom can play with it.

Thanks everyone!

I'm perfectly fine. Truthfully I really wasn't that shell-shocked. I just wanted the flat-bed to come drag it out of the guard rail so that I can go out and party with my friend that flew in.

CHP came and gave me a DUI test too. Of course I passed

But yeah, that's beside the point.....

...M3's anyone???

There is a broker that post's on craigslist every now and then you tell him what you want and what you have to pay and he can find your car (with in reason). He charges a flat fee of $1000 I believe, this covers his lic and overhead. The only catch is you have to be patient. I was using him until I found the perfect car (for me) in San Diego,.. I became impatient and paid a few extra dollars for it.

You have to be serious and have cash (ie cash eqv) or financing already lined up. PM me if you want his info.

edit: to clarify I got a 330ci,.. not an M but its the same market.

i've seen several sub $35k e46 m3's on Craiglist the last few months. like many, i considered getting one, but going from virtually bulletproof & ea$y to maintain japanese cars to the high maintenance m3, isn't something i think i'd enjoy.

you gotta pay to play tho. just make sure you're prepared for the cost of ownership. there's a reason why you see a lot of m3's being flipped repeatedly by young car buyers. many of them have no idea what they're getting themselves into. i guess the same can be said about the S2K in some respects.
